Friday Fish Fry, BA Market and Picnic

F 3.15.13
  • Friday in Lent...hear of a new (and possibly only?) fish n' chips place in town...check it out
  • Chipper opened up this week by a couple (she British, he Argentine), so we invited friends to join us, and we didn't regret it one bit
  • they have a tasty range of beverages (including mint, ginger lemonade), lightly breaded, crispy, not-too-greasy, delicious white fish, and the right amount of fries or chips...among other menu items
  • I couldn't help but try the fried ice cream with Bailey's cream sauce...the sauce is where it's at!
  • if you're in BA and craving this UK staple...go there! ...we can't wait to go back!
Sa 3.16.13
  • finally we were in town for one of the Buenos Aires Markets, just down the street at the park
  • I bribed Jake with organic beer so he'd come with me
  • we first walked around to the many stalls to scope out our options
  • on one side we saw many stands that were selling organic and/or natural produce, olive oil, beer, wine, and more...
  • on the other side were items that were more for eating that moment
  • like these little choose-your-own-toppings pizzas
  • Jake wouldn't get in the picture with "Jake Mate" ...still not really sure what was being advertised here
mushrooms!
  • after gathering a healthy amount of products both for later and now, we headed across the street to a grassy park for our picnic
  • can you spot the US flag?  we picnic'd along side the US Embassy
  • Jake did some reading (upside down)
  •  while I worked on some schoolwork
  • was a beautiful day to spend in the park before Fall swings in here shortly
